Just found out there will be no more classes this year. Soooo, that means I'll be where I am for a few months. Well if it goes until January then I want to stay to get my bonus. It would be a shame to work for almost a year and then not get it.
Anyway, the investigator in Okinawa has been on his job. He's made his rounds already to get my info. It's exciting that all of this is happening for little ol' me! Makes me think of the movie 'The Help'. The lead character tells her boss' daughter, that she's smart, special and important. Well that's how I'm feeling right now.
Should be sleep now, but I'm soooo excited about what's going on in Oki, right now. My last two references there are being interviewed.
Who knew that I'd be here!! I applied October 2010 before we even knew we were moving to Tampa. I'd just taken the FSO test with my husband and thought the OMS position was just my speed. In the entire time I was on island, I rarely heard anything back from the dozens upon dozens of jobs I'd applied to. After I'd started in my current position, I get an email inviting me to the OA.
I was soooo excited to even be considered. Unfortunately my husband was still overseas and it would have been too hard to schedule it before he came home. So, I had to endure months of waiting until July 12th.
